FAQs

How long are the sessions?

60 minutes

How many sessions will I need?

That’s really up to you and what you need. Someone may come for one session and have all their questions answered. Others may come weekly. Others still on an ad hoc basis. Whatever is most helpful to you.

Can I book online sessions?

Yes - ideally, we would meet face to face but circumstances of life and geography do not always allow for this.

How much do you charge?

I offer highly reduced rates in comparison to most psychologists but have reductions for those that need them. Please be in touch so that we can arrange a free 15-20 minute phone conversation and see if we make a good fit.

What kinds of questions, queries and concerns do you deal with?

Here are a few examples I have had in the past:

  • What is neurodiversity?

  • I think that my child may be autistic - can we talk about it?

  • How do I help my teen with mental health needs?

  • My child is identified as EBSA - we’ve tried everything, what can I do?

  • The school will exclude my child soon if things don’t change, can you help?

  • We have experienced/are about to experience bereavement - how can I help my child/teen through this?

  • My family is going through huge trauma due to x,y,z. My child has changed and I don’t know how to help.

  • There are so many influences in my teens life that I do not understand, sometimes it’s like a language I don’t know - how can I connect with them?

  • My child has been duped online and is struggling to cope with the shame - it’s all-encompassing and I don’t know what to do.

  • My child has a chronic health need, I’ve had to give up work and our whole family is impacted - I need support.
